I started out as a poor writer. I made "C"s every six weeks. Later I learned it was not writing but handwriting. My penmanship was terrible. It still is. However, I've always been able to put words together to tell a story, to evoke emotion, or to inspire action.
I came by it naturally growing up in a radio business household. When I started working at the station I wrote commercial copy and news stories. A small market radio station requires the manager to wear many hats. I wrote our promotional tools, prepared sales promotions, and devised full marketing campaigns for the station and some clients.
Experience includes writing lyrics for radio jingles; lyrics for published songs; copy for a greeting card company; newspaper articles (sample); a weekly newspaper column (samples); magazine articles (samples), revising a script for a Chamber of Commerce video presentation; and poems for pleasure. Photography
In 2003 I became a professional photographer and that is where I spend most of my time. I still write some magazine articles that accompany my photographs. I have had photos distributed nationwide as a contributing freelancer for the Associated Press. Take a look at a sample of some of the pictures. Photos I shot photographs accompanying two articles in "On The Farm" magazine. The cover photo is also mine.
Writing for clients is a challenge I welcome. My goal is to express your thoughts and ideas in the way you want them expressed. I'm easy to work with and will give your project my utmost attention. Call, email, or write . . . and I'll write for you.
